Casting directors require submissions of headshot and resume... but these days, many want to view an Acting style Slate Video as well. These short 1- to 3-minute videos help provide insight as to who you are and they display your personality just as they would during a few minute interview at a casting office prior to your actual cold reading audition. Golly Gee Productions uses broadcast quality video and audio equipment and lighting in a studio type setting to capture your personality introduction, then edits this down to a professional quality final presentation.

THE ACTING SLATE STYLE VIDEO
The fee charged includes preparation, provision of questions (or bring your own), video production, and all post-production editing. We use a professional Canon XL-2 camera that shoots digital broadcast quality video with off-camera sound and lighting. The final edited version is delivered to you electronically, fully edited and ready to use. We have no hidden costs or additional fees for different use - you own the video once it is delivered to you. Edits are clean and smooth, not choppy, and lighting is bright and crisp. THE VOICE OVER DEMO
A voice over demo is a short series of "mock" examples of your voice consisting of PSA's, Commercials, and other related copy. They may include examples of foreign language, accents and dialects, and/or even funny or cartoon character voices. The intention of the demo is to provide an example of your voice and range to a potential client seeking to hire voice over talent. A good demo audio includes cleaver, but not distracting, music and sound effects. The demo is well mixed and sweetened so that you sound powerful and professional.

We have several thousand voice over scripts for you to select from and we record more than is needed and then select those that are diverse and sound the best to edit down your final demo audio in MP3 format (other formats available on request).

STUDIO LOCATION
The video shoot location is air conditioned and offers ample parking, changing room, and restroom facilities. This is located on the side of the IH-35 between Round Rock and Georgetown and close by to various services, accommodations, restaurants, etc.

If there are not enough people signed up to cover the costs of the studio and equipment and camera personnel for the day listed, then the shoot will be canceled (and payments refunded in full or you may move your slate shoot to an alternative date). Registration in advance is necessary in order to determine feasibility of scheduling.

Your final video and/or audio will be approximately one to three minutes in length, depending upon your preference and/or the available content. All videos are delivered in Windows compatible format unless otherwise requested and specified.
